Oxaliplatin Injection 100 mg |

As adjuvant treatment of stage III colon cancer.
Advanced carcinoma of the
colon or rectum.

The recommended dose of oxaliplatin injection as single agent is 130/mg/m2, given intravenously over at least 2 hours,every
three-four weeks. In case of combination the recommended dose
schedule given every two weeks is as follows:
Day 1 : Oxaliplatin 85 mg/m2 IV infusion in 250-500 ml of Dextrose 5% and Leucovorin 200
mg/m2 IVinfusion in Dextrose 5% both given over 120 minutes.
Day 2 : Leucovorin 200 mg/m2 IV infusion over 120 minutes, followed by Fluorouracil
400 mg/m2 IV bolus given over 2-4 minutes, followed by Fluorouracil 600 mg/m2 IV infusion in 500 ml Dextrose 5% (recommended) as a 22-hour continuous infusion.
Dosage Adjustment :
Renal Impairment : Not well studied, administer with caution.
Hepatic Impairment : Not well studied, administer with caution. |
