Imipenem and Cilastatin for Injection USP 250 mg

Indications :

Lower respiratory tract infections

Urinary tract infections

Intra abdominal infections

Gynaecological infections

Bacterial septicemia

Bone and joint infections

Skin and skin structure infections

Endocarditis

Polymicrobial infections

Dosage :

Usual Dosage : 250-500 mg given IV over 40 to 60 minutes.

Max. Daily dose : 4g / day.

Paediatrics :
Children>40 kg : Normal adult dose.

Infants & Children <40 kg : 15mg/kg at six hrs. intervals.

Total daily dose not to exceed 2g/day.

Renally Impaired Patients :
