Adults : Usual dose: 1.125 to 2.250 grams given once a day (or in equally divided doses twice a day) depending on the type and severity of infection.

Surgical prophylaxis: A single dose of 1.125 gram administered intravenously ½ to 2 hours before surgery.

Children : Skin and skin structure infections: 56.25 to 84.375 mg/kg of Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam given once a day (or in equally divided doses twice a day).

Acute bacterial otitis media: 56.25 mg/kg of Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam given single IM dose.

Serious miscellaneous infections other than meningitis: 56.25 to 84.375 mg/kg of Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam, given in divided doses every 12 hours.

Meningitis: 112.5 mg/kg of Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam given as initial therapeutic dose.

Renally Impaired Patients : Dosage adjustment may be required.
